I was aksed how to make this. Unfortunately I don't save the .psds and I usually just play till I get what I like, but I attempted to remember. It's not exactly the same though. It is very simple.

Next is this one. Again, not the same, but close enough.

OK, firstly start with your base.

1. Then duplicate that twice. Set them both to screen. Go to Filter>Sharpen and sharpen ONE of the screen layers.

2. Get your orginal image and crop it again but crop it differently from the your first base. Like so. My characters are bigger here. Set it to screen.

3. New adjustment layer>Gradient map. Select black and white.

4. Duplicate the orginal base drag it to the top set it to soft light 60%.

5. Add this texture by
ewanism, about multiply 68%

6. Add text if you want. I chose 'Print Clearly' at 9pt.

Base.

1. Duplicate it twice. Set them both to screen. Sharpen ONE of them.

2. Take tis texture by 77_words and set it to multiply. If you put the texture before the selective colours ect you can sometimes get a really cool effect.

3. Now, add a curves layer. Make two points
RGB/one
Input: 205
Output: 222
RGB/Two
Input: 50
Output: 86

4. Hue/Saturation layer.
Saturation: +32

5. Selective colour layer. I know it looks rank now, but it's right.
Red
-22/+13/+91/+16
Yellow
-100/+15/+86/+10
Green
+100/-100/-100/+67
Cyan
+100/-100/-100/+38

6. Another Selective colour layer. Set it to darken
Red
-100/+5/+100/+15
Yellows
-30/+5/-30/+5
Neutrals
+100/-20/-50/+14

7. Duplicate the base, drag it to the top. Soft light.

8. Take this texture by
unmasked_icons set it to screen. Position it how you like it.

9. Duplicate layer 6 and drag it to the top.

10. Now cut out the sky copy and paste it and then move it to the bottom. Use the blur tool to blur the edges.

Then add this texture by
brasaremean. Set it to mulitply.

Again, not bad, but the seoncd looks reder. Try lowering the Hue/Saturation and removing some of the red from the SC.
