Firstly Happy 2012.  Hope you all had a nice holiday and all that.

Secondly I've found a new show which I enjoy.  It's called Homeland, my boyfriend told me all about it and so we gave it a try and after doing some reading I found out it's by the creators of 24.

It's basically about a US Marine who is captured in Afghanistan and held prisoner for 8 years.  We've got out CIA officer who has been informed of an American POW who has been turned and basically the plot is about discovering if he's actually working for the Taliban or not.  

It's a bit of a slow burner, but some of the tense moments are actually quite good.  One thing that let's it down though is the REALLY bad acting.  There are some great actors and characters in the show, but the bad ones let it down.  The female lead tends to over-act about 90% of the time.

Anyway, anyone watching it?  Got any good recs of TV shows to watch?

I started off the year with no heating, which isn't great, but it's getting fixed!  Also I'm off to London for my boyfriends birthday for a couple of weeks.  Does anyone have any good restaurant recommendations?  We don't normally eat out that often.

Anyway, how are y'all?  Heating working? lol

Did anyone watch the Downton Abbey Christmas special?  Man, it was looong.  But happy about Mary & Matthew!

This past week I've finally had time to watch something in the evenings, so I decided to watch Lord of the Rings Trilogy again.  I just finished the film film last night.  I don't know why, but that ending always makes me feel slightly depressed.

It's happy!  They save the world! They all live!  They go back to the Shire!..except for some reason it leaves you feeling slightly empty.  I guess that's good film making.  

So anyway, I watched the new Hobbit trailer yesterday.  I cannot wait, the ending gave me goosebumps.  "Bagginses, what's a Bagginses precious?".

Also, Richard Armitage!  Even as Dwarf he's might good looking.

I finished my first semester of MSc yesterday.  It was so strange this morning waking up with nothing to do...I cleaned a lot and I cooked a lot.

Tomorrow is Christmas dinner with my MSc friends so I made Mulled red and white wine, chocolate mince pies and star sugar cookies.  Pretty damn awesome.  I haven't tried any of them though.  I'm going to take photos and post them here.

Anyway, does anyone have any good photography comms on here?  I've had a look around but I'm so out of touch with LJ it's just confusing me. Haha.

How's everyone's countdown to Christmas?

Well, it's been such a long time since I updated.  I really should, but y'know...life and such.

Anyway, how is everyone?  Is there anyone still out there?

Life with me at the moment is great.  Pretty damn busy though.  I'm just at Notting Uni doing an MSc in Biological Photography and Imaging and it's INTENSE.  But it's end of tem tomorrow, so a bit of chill out time before xmas.  Hopefully I'll post up some images soon.

I need to get back to updating.  What is everybody watching?  I've been going back to British lately.  Spooks and Downton Abbey is pretty much all I'm keep up with.  I was watching Bones for a while, but I've not seen any of Season 7.  Anyone a fan?
