Firstly Happy 2012.  Hope you all had a nice holiday and all that.

Secondly I've found a new show which I enjoy.  It's called Homeland, my boyfriend told me all about it and so we gave it a try and after doing some reading I found out it's by the creators of 24.

It's basically about a US Marine who is captured in Afghanistan and held prisoner for 8 years.  We've got out CIA officer who has been informed of an American POW who has been turned and basically the plot is about discovering if he's actually working for the Taliban or not.

It's a bit of a slow burner, but some of the tense moments are actually quite good.  One thing that let's it down though is the REALLY bad acting.  There are some great actors and characters in the show, but the bad ones let it down.  The female lead tends to over-act about 90% of the time.

Anyway, anyone watching it?  Got any good recs of TV shows to watch?

I took this photo in the studio. Just an un-named specimen I found in the lab. Any guesses as to what it is?

Happy New Year!  I hope you all had a good night and will have a great 2012.

I started off the year with no heating, which isn't great, but it's getting fixed!  Also I'm off to London for my boyfriends birthday for a couple of weeks.  Does anyone have any good restaurant recommendations?  We don't normally eat out that often.

Anyway, how are y'all?  Heating working? lol

Did anyone watch the Downton Abbey Christmas special?  Man, it was looong.  But happy about Mary & Matthew!

This past week I've finally had time to watch something in the evenings, so I decided to watch Lord of the Rings Trilogy again.  I just finished the film film last night.  I don't know why, but that ending always makes me feel slightly depressed.

It's happy!  They save the world! They all live!  They go back to the Shire!..except for some reason it leaves you feeling slightly empty.  I guess that's good film making.

So anyway, I watched the new Hobbit trailer yesterday.  I cannot wait, the ending gave me goosebumps.  "Bagginses, what's a Bagginses precious?".

Also, Richard Armitage!  Even as Dwarf he's might good looking.

I finished my first semester of MSc yesterday.  It was so strange this morning waking up with nothing to do...I cleaned a lot and I cooked a lot.

Tomorrow is Christmas dinner with my MSc friends so I made Mulled red and white wine, chocolate mince pies and star sugar cookies.  Pretty damn awesome.  I haven't tried any of them though.  I'm going to take photos and post them here.

Anyway, does anyone have any good photography comms on here?  I've had a look around but I'm so out of touch with LJ it's just confusing me. Haha.

How's everyone's countdown to Christmas?

It has been a very long time since I updated indeed.  I doubt there's anyone left reading.

But two things that are great with me is a) I just booked a birthday holiday for my boyfriend to Bruges! and b) I've started the application for my masters.  Both very exciting (and expensive) but I can't wait!

Hope you're all well xx

Well, it's been a long time.Sorry.

It's good news all round really.  I just got a new job in a photography studio.  I'm so happy and excited.  I'm mainly a re-toucher, but I'll also be doing office stuff too.  All I can say is; how grateful am I that I was a loser 15 year old that decided to sit and make 24 icons on photoshop rather than go out and get drunk?

Anyway, I'm off to spend the easter weekend with my boyfriend and his family in Cambridge and I have yet to pack.  Oh dear.

I tried watching Lost and 24, but I've now lost interest in both :(  But I have become slightly obsessed with Bones.  I honestly think it's just cos te main leads are so pretty, it is not my kind of show at all.  Still, it's amusing.

Fancy seeing you here.  wow, it's been ages since I posted something new.

Life has been busy.  I'm off to Italy in a couple of weeks for a photography thing/small holiday and I can't wait.  Should be fun.

Anyway, I thought I would come on to talk about shows.  I've been thinking about watching 'Flashforward' (Joseph Finnes, yummy) 'True Blood' (apparently it's like porn with vampires) and '30 Rock' (I don't watch enough comedy).  Also, I'm making my boyfriend read Harry Potter, so in return I said I would watch Battlestar something or other, lol.

So, anyway watch these?  Got any other shows worth watching.  All mine will be ending soon (24, Lost, Ugly Betty).

Also, how are you guys?  Chat to me! xxx

LOST
I have just watched the entire 5 seasons of LOST in about 4 weeks.  Basically, I started watching lost when it was first on TV, I got about 6 episodes into season 2 and decided I couldn't be arsed.  But now I've finished uni, and not got much to do, I decided to give it a go.

I don't think I'll ever be hooked/obsessed with it, but I do enjoy (aspects of) it.  Anyone here a lost-head?  Who's your favourite?

I would say my favourites are Ben, Locke, Juliet, Desmond and Sawyer.  I cannot stand Jack and Kate, either together or just in general.  Argh, they give me rage.

I really enjoyed the show, but the whole 1977 thing bored/annoyed me, can't wait to see what happens though, and I hope Juliet is not dead!
